God Brings Order to Our Chaos

“And God said… and it was so.” — Genesis 1:7

In Genesis, we see how God brought order and purpose to His creation. And this reminds me of what happens when we come before God with our lives in disorder, feeling dirty, lost, surrounded by darkness and confusion.

God, in His immense mercy and infinite love, cleanses us, restores us, and removes the darkness from our lives. Through His grace, He makes us new.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

It is beautiful to think that just as God brought order to creation, He can also bring order to our lives. He can say “Let there be light” in the middle of our darkness. It doesn’t matter how messy your life may be. It doesn’t matter how chaotic your reality may feel right now. Today, Jesus embraces you. Just come to Him.

God is not scared of our mistakes, our failures, or our past. He already knows everything about us, and yet, He loves us. And just as He created something beautiful out of what was empty and without order, He can create something new in you too. You only have to come to Him.

A Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I want to thank You, honor You, and glorify You for giving me the opportunity to listen to Your Word, to hear Your voice, and to know that all of this is possible because of Your mercy and grace.

Lord, I want to pray for whoever is reading this and feels the need to seek You. Show them Your love. Hug them, Jesus, so they know they are not alone in the midst of their chaos. Let them know that You have been waiting for them with open arms. Cleanse them, organize their lives, and bring them out of darkness. Bring peace into their hearts and their homes.

And Lord, draw them closer to You. Give them the desire to seek You every day and to build a real and beautiful relationship with You.
